Hey Hey!  I come from :iconprojectcomment: with the tag word "blue".  I'm choosing this piece of yours because 1. Mystic Messenger is awesome and 2. It's traditional art and I love me some traditional art!

I like that the boy has a happy expression and you can really see the calm and cheer in his eyes.  I would be relieved to speak to someone this happy!  You seem to be great at coloring just by looking at your gallery and some of your digital works, so you already have a great understanding of making an image come to life with colors. You also have a pretty good concept of shading as I can see from the skin tones around the face and the neck, which is awesome!

However, the pose of him feels a bit too bland.  His shoulders seem to be a bit too high up, which makes him seem like he's timid or tensed up.  I would say just draw the shoulders in a more relaxed state, to make it look more natural with his facial expression. Another thing I would like to point out is the clothing. The collar seems a bit unreasonably higher (think vampire capes) when it should be resting along the neck and shoulders. You can have a look at these for examples and reference: s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/2… and s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/7… . Notice how the clothing and collar folds over the shoulds and around the neck. The other image shows other ways to draw the collars based on different styles.

Another thing would be the clothing folds and wrinkles. I can see some shading done in the clothes to emphasize the clothing lines and wrinkles, but it seems to be rigid (note the wrinkles on the shoulders). Try standing in the mirror and looking at how the folds on your clothing shape around the shoulder, that should be of help. It's always great to reference off of real life!

I hope this feedback helps you! <3
